I First saw the Batz on the 24th Feb 1984 at The Broadway, Clarendon in Hammersmith with The Vibes! and all for the eye watering admission price of £1.50!!!!! it was my second time seeing the Vibes (who were amazing) but my first time catching Guana Batz live (it would not be the last) . They were high energy, fun & some cracking original tunes , I really liked the EP on Big Beat they had released in late 1983 and this made me wanna check em' out ......so I did! right up to Dec 1985! In total I caught the band 12 times!
They were in my opinion a superb live act, fast, funny, stompin' electric live wire of a band that again IMO did not quite capture this on vinyl on those early releases (The Cave was pretty close though)
Well, anyway here is a gig list (loads missing probably) from the first ever show at Feltham F.C right up to the end of 1988. The ones I attended from 1984 onwards have a # at the end.
